At Bissell Maple Farm we’ve partnered with various retailers to stock their shelves with our pure maple syrup. Are you looking for a local supplier? Here’s what you can expect if you work with us to provide your customers with high-quality maple syrup.
Demand for maple syrup has been steadily increasing as consumers look for natural, minimally processed, locally-produced options to traditional cane sugar. Or it could be that they want that authentic, undeniable maple syrup flavor and would rather support a local company than a large conglomerate. But they’re still shopping at nearby retail establishments for groceries, so how can they find what they’re looking for without any inconvenience?
When shoppers are looking for artisan and specialty foods–including pure maple syrup–they may be willing to go out of their way, but more often than not, they would prefer to have offerings available on the shelves they’re already familiar with. That’s where Bissell Maple Farm’s retail partnerships come into play. Instead of making this a product that folks need to hunt down, retailers can stock their shelves with our locally-produced and -bottled pure maple syrup.
Bissell Maple Farm offers an array of bottle sizes to retailers, according to their needs and their customer preferences. With both glass and plastic packaging available, there’s something for everyone. Our pure maple syrup can be obtained in the following sizes:
8 oz Traditional Glass (12 units per case/132 cases per pallet)
12 oz Traditional Glass (12 units per case/108 cases per pallet)
16 oz Plastic Jug (12 pints per case/66 cases per pallet)
32 oz Plastic Jug (6 quarts per case/96 cases per pallet)
Various sizes are available in Grade A Amber Color Rich Taste and Grade A Dark Color Robust Taste. Amber is typically produced mid-season and offers a classic maple flavor, while Dark is a late-season syrup that has more intense flavors, brought on by warmer weather. These are the more common, crowd-pleasing grades of maple syrup.
Both Grade A Amber Color Rich Taste and Grade A Dark Color Robust Taste maple syrup can be used as standalone products but also perform beautifully when used in recipes. All of our pure maple syrup products are Kosher certified, with organic options available upon request.
Retailers that are looking to partner with a maple syrup producer to supply their inventory need to be able to trust that they will receive a high-quality product in consistent volumes. It is vital that the products meet promised grading standards and can be reliably sourced. This is key, since the natural cycles that dictate the ideal maple syrup season are defined by very specific parameters–the season is short. Tree tapping typically takes place during the months of February, March and April. The sap is then processed into everyone’s favorite pancake topping–pure maple syrup!
For a grocery store to consistently meet client expectations and availability demands, their supplier needs to have access to a large enough quantity of sap and syrup, and the ability to successfully store products. Bissell Maple Farm offers all this and more. We started as a backyard operation, but have since expanded and grown to a large-scale production and bottling facility. We work with both small artisanal farms and larger producers all across the Maple Belt. This constant flow ensures that we always have a consistent supply of bulk maple syrup to offer to restaurants, food service companies, and retail partners.
From farm-to-table trends, locally-produced products and specialty food markets, Bissell Maple Syrup offerings fit the bill. Our generations-old expertise in maple production paired with state-of-the-art bottling services and our reliable supply of consistently high-quality products means that whatever you need, whenever you need it, we can deliver.
