Bissell Maple Farms is excited to continue growing and investing in the future of the maple industry with the acquisition of a truly special property in Rutland, Vermont.
We’re proud to bring new life to the historic G.H. Grimm building—a place with deep roots in maple production. This next chapter allows us to honor that legacy while building something meaningful for today’s sugarmakers and for generations to come.
At our new Rutland location, we’ll be producing stainless steel sap buckets and working toward an annual capacity of up to 20,000 units. In addition, we’re reestablishing a maple equipment dealership to better serve producers throughout the region.
By expanding both our manufacturing and distribution capabilities, we aim to support the maple community with reliable, high-quality equipment.
This site will also serve as a bulk syrup buying station, creating new opportunities for local sugarmakers to connect with us directly. We’re committed to strengthening relationships within the industry and making it easier for producers to bring their syrup to market.
More than anything, this investment reflects our belief in the future of maple. We’re honored to play a role in restoring a building that has meant so much to the industry, and we look forward to growing together with the community in Rutland and beyond.
